The 2019 Lexus NX300 will be in showrooms in Malaysia soon and for those who want to be the first to own one, Lexus Malaysia is accepting bookings now. While this is essentially a mid-cycle update, the model gets a substantial boost in safety with the upgrade to Lexus Safety System + (LSS+).
Lexus Safety System + encompasses many Active Safety features to help drivers avoid accidents and reduce the effects of collisions through the use of advanced Lexus-developed technology. Reducing stress by assisting the driver also helps to make driving more enjoyable.
LSS + includes features such as the Pre-Collision System, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, Pre-collision Brake Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Active Cornering Assist, Parking Support Alert and Adaptive High-beam System.
Performance dampers developed with Yamaha
On certain variants, performance dampers are fitted to the suspension. Developed in collaboration with Yamaha, these dampers help to reduce vibration and prevent the effect of road harshness coming through the body, providing the occupants with a smoother ride.
Three versions of the new NX will be offered – the NX300 Premium, NX300 Urban and NX300 F-Sport. Depending on the variant, there’s a range of up to 7 exterior colours, with the NX300 F-Sport offered exclusively in Heat Blue CL or Lava Orange CS.
From what can be deduced from the monthly sales data compiled by the Malaysian Automotive Association, SUV models are the bestsellers for Lexus in Malaysia and the NX is likely to be the more popular of the two in the range, the other being the RX.
Every unit of Lexus imported and distributed by Lexus Malaysia comes with a comprehensive 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage. Complete aftersales support is available at 7 locations nationwide, one of which is in East Malaysia.
