Stamford Tyres, which distributes Falken tyres in Malaysia, offers the Falken AZENIS FK510, its flagship tyre for luxury vehicles, sports and sporty cars as well as for luxury SUV vehicles. Driving enthusiasts are likely to recognise the Azenis label, used on the brand’s Ultra High Performance (UHP) tyres, but if the name is familiar, the tyre itself is all-new.

“We are very pleased to be able to bring this amazing new-generation flagship tyres to Malaysia. AZENIS FK510 is designed for drivers of premium vehicles looking for excellent grip and outstanding performance. “said Cham Soon Kian, Executive Vice-President of Stamford Tyres.

    Latest UHP tyre
The AZENIS FK510 is Falken’s latest generation Ultra-High Performance Tyre offering excellent grip and outstanding performance. Its 4D Nano Design enabled Falken engineers to optimise new high-performance compounds at the molecular level, enhancing both wear and wet weather traction. Featuring hybrid undertread materials, the AZENIS FK510 delivers confidence-inspiring handling and stability.

Imported from Japan, this new tyre succeeds the FK453. A wide range of sizes covers many of today’s luxury vehicles. There are up to 75 sizes, covering 17 to 20-inch wheels with popular fitments for Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Mazda and other Japanese cars.

    Original equipment for Porsche Macan
A variant of the FK510 – the FK510A SUV – suitable for Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and crossovers, totals 28 sizes. FALKEN is supplying tyres for the current generation of the Porsche Macan in both 235/60R18 and 255/55R18 sizes. The tyres each have the speed symbol “W” (up to 270 km/h) and a load index of 103 and 105 respectively.

The successful top-of-the-range model AZENIS FK510 has been available as an SUV-specific tyre since 2017. With an innovative carcass design, AZENIS FK510A SUV tyres ensure precise steering behaviour and refinement. This is demonstrated through a high level of driving comfort and ensures well-balanced overall driving characteristics. The Macan is geared towards sporty drivers who will make use of the full ability of the tyres.

“With the introduction of these tyres, we have continued to apply our strategy of consistently offering an extensive range in growing and profitable segments,” explained Christian Stolting, key account manager OE at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH. “Awarding us the factory fitting for the Porsche Macan doesn’t just confirm this strategy, but also speaks volumes for the quality of our tyres. Supplying Porsche with our tyres is a bit of an accolade for us!”

The AZENIS FK510 has already convinced testers at German auto magazine Autozeitung, which bestowed the ‘Highly Recommended’ label on the tyre. The German association of technical inspectors, GTUE, also gave the tyre ‘Highly Recommended’ status, and it has just been named one of the top three tyres in Auto Bild’s summer tyre test, earning an “Exemplary” rating.

    Features
The AZENIS FK510 incorporates advanced features designed to ensure top performance in wet conditions and superior protection from aquaplaning. The tyre has a higher negative tread ratio combined with high volume circumferential grooves and rounded shoulder contours. Numerous blade sipes (small ‘cuts’ in the pattern blocks) optimise the footprint in cornering and cut through the water film on the road surface more effectively.

Falken’s engineers developed the AZENIS FK510 to reflect their vision of a cutting-edge pattern concept. The pattern they created ensures consistent pressure distribution throughout the tyre footprint. Known as ACP (Adaptive Constant Pressure), the technology used for this advanced pattern enhances braking performance, directional stability and driving dynamics.

The longitudinal grooves and enhanced sidewall flexibility of the AZENIS FK510 provide a harmonious, balanced response, particularly in cornering and load changes. As well as improving driving comfort, these features shorten braking distances and increase smoothness. The Falken engineers applied 4D Nano Design Technology to develop groundbreaking tyre compounds that offer superb grip and maximise the tyre’s wear.
